Christmas of 2011

I used to park in a very expensive parking lot in Ortigas with a very poor facility. Sometimes I go beyond the 160 pesos mark if there are a lot of things to do in the office. Worst, I lose my ticket and never get to reimburse it.

So with recommendations from my officemate, I tried this parking at ortigas, 500 meters away from my office. Only 50 pesos flat rate for the entire day. Facility is nice and the manong who guards the entire place is really mabait. So I park my car there for the longest time.

I told myself that I will give manong a gift come Christmas time. I was so sad when our 13th month came with a huge tax deduction. Plus, I’ve got bills to pay. When the annual christmas basket came, I was so happy to give it to my mom. My mom loves anything that comes from the grocery. But I have decided to give it to manong instead.

I was looking for him but he was not around. Learned from the 2nd shift manong that the person manning the parking lot on first shift was the son of the manong that I was looking for. I gave it to his son and told that it was for his father.

He told me that his father is not feeling well that’s why he did not report to work.

After that, my mom’s boss gave her 2,000 pesos worth of grocery from puregold and 3 kilos of fiesta ham.

WOW! This is a living testament that the Lord really bless cheerful givers. I am amazed.
